»Why did you take so long?«
Haven't you heard me calling?
Didn't you receive my letters?
Did the messenger miss you again?
Why did you take so long to answer my call?
I was always under the impression that,
I add value to your life
Is that false?
The rain is pouring outside,
Yet you want me to meet you,
In Newtown
You are black mailing me
That is unfair because,
You know that I'm obsessed with her ambience
I have a card box full of letters,
That I wrote every time I was spitting venom
When you promised to pitch up in vain
But I never got to post them
I knew that you will deny receiving them
Why did you take so long?
I thought I occupied your mind constantly
Is that so untrue?
How am I going to carry this big box?
In this pouring rain
These letters will be ruined and the message will diminish
By the time I reach the taxi rank
I will be soaking wet down to my panties,
When I board another taxi from Jeppe Street to Newtown
My excitement will be contained
When I reach our meeting place
It's likely that you will not be there
Then what do I do?
With a heavy, wet card box full of letters?
What do I do with my disappointed self?
With my dripping heart,
Hammered by pain to a pulp again?
Before I make up my mind
To avoid opening my infected gash further
I want to know
Why did it take so long to answer my call?
Why will honour this appointment when,
You have failed to honour others?
Regardless of knowing that I wanted to see you desperately.
Didn't you receive my letters?
Did the messenger miss you again?
Why did you take so long to answer my call?
I was always under the impression that,
I add value to your life
Is that false?
