»It worked«

by Mamello Monageng

They saw a way to stay on top
They created a system that would assure them a place on top
And made others believe their reward is in the opposite parallel life
That death is an opposite parallel life off this world-
for these things are only for the living
They should know-
I guess it suits them to know

They created teachings for men to submit faithfully
To cover up their actions, created a made justice system
Threw away instincts of survival and created a code of good and bad
words defined as truth and lies
what is the truth and what is lies-is it evidence?

To control what you are -created money
On its own -it had no value until they gave it value
You gave up what you had for what you didn't have
Out of its circle- money could not provide

To create hope- a few were given a break off the system
So we may want
But they knew -it was a calculated chess move
And called it favours of fate
