»A bait of wealth, has bails out«

by Mothibe Johannes Mothapo

He was there, yes there
There next to you
He poses like wind blowing trees of winter
Silently they dry out, serenely they torn out
He was loud but out of noise
Appearance himself was loud
Loud to lighten uncovered spot left by ideologist

It sounded like an ocean never the less the river when he humor us with his verse
Some of the days, popularity manifest his image
Then turned out drained by it,
That is where we miss him the most
Sometimes numbers deployed for cheering him
Then Hola seven convey a harmonic rhythm for his mood

Between inhaling and exhaling, thoughts intensely flashed back after an interruption of his absenteeism
Drifting through mud, expecting to be at least shades with him
Has prolonged our acceptance towards fate
Then, remote you were and in remote we touched
So ungifted, so inconsiderate we were there
Maybe if gifted then a juncture to fare you well would innocent us from our guilt

Surely memories with you will be carried like a football striker carries his football
Until landed to the goals, until landed to fate
On Sunday you looked like genuine bait
Transparently glowing a rare blue diamond
You would have thought zilch possibility of resistance
Ways to live with it in no ways of ignorant
So wealthy baiting, blankly bails out
At least in time we will be crawling with memories shared with him
