»Price For Peace«

by Hettie Van Zyl

Is there a price for peace at war as dead bodies cover the landscape floor? And still more will soon increace what is the price for war and peace. No more singing of old folks song All the laughter and stories are gone. That is the price for peace at war Dead bodies increace more and more. Lonely hearts pray home at day Hoping that the radio stars will say Peace at last, war are gone, now sing again your old folks songs. But war left a silent sound A loved ones body has just been found Silent the cry of joy at ease This is the price paid at war for Peace War brings no peace only pain. It let millions of teardrops fall like rain. Out of the eyes of wifes, mothers And of dear friends and sisters and brothers. This is the price paid at war for peace.
