»Happiness«

by Marlene Cozett

Yes I still have some
It's like looking in a mirror so very long ago
When being free, was sitting in a tree

I get free hugs, free kisses, at every turn
Kisses and hugs without the burn

Whispering secrets and special stories,
Laughing at mistakes, nothing so serious

When being silly is just for fun,
When embarrassments on the run
When it doesn't matter what others think
When making a fool of yourself okay
When smiles and laughter
Is all I'm after

This I do have and I know I am blessed
and I can laugh at myself and the rest
