»Forgiveness«

by Marlene Cozett

Never is a long, long time
And the pain lasts just as long,
That's what they say
so what am I to do?, what am I to say?
At the time the pain was so bad
That never seemed like the best option, the only option
And the longer never lasts, the longer the pain lasts
I want it to be over, but I know I said never
Will you understand if I change my mind?
Will the pain go if is changed never to ... maybe?
I wonder what the pain will be like if I say maybe
Will I move on just a little if I say maybe?
Maybe it will be even better if I said Yes

Yes I do forgive you, I will move on because I forgive you
You won't have power anymore because I do forgive you
I am moving on because I do forgive you
So there.... I feel good
I do forgive you
The pain is less because I do forgive you
I will try not to say never again
Never is a long, long time
I am free, Iam smiling, I am happy, I am growing and I am moving on and on and on
I am singing ...
