»The last words I waste on you«

by Laetitia Smith

So here I am again
Wasting pen and paper on you.
All we've been through,

Depreciating

Like wind-blown sand dunes.

All the memories
Conjure up,
Energies and feelings of
Mingled love and hate.

No one but you should be
Feeling this pain.

Yet I
Watch the hour glass,
Hoping and Praying
That the sand running through
Will erase every part of you.
