»I don't need you anymore«

by Laetitia Smith

It used to be that I cried.
I was the loudest screamer,
Yet you never heard me at all.

No, you never noticed how I fell.
How I dug the hole,
To bury myself.

Oh, you should have seen me!
When I let you go.
Too bad you never realized,
Until I was gone.

You used to trip me
When I stood tall,
And you weren't even that perfect,
No you weren't perfect at all.

But it's okay now,
I don't need you anymore!
So you can shut your mouth now:
You were my only flaw.
