»Stolen Kiss«

by Abdul Milazi

a stolen kiss
daydreams through the night
and consumes the waking day
into another night
another day
and all my nights
the sound of darkness
pebble my Autumn thoughts
my heart gallops
like a thousand hooves
i see dreams conceived
of streams forever flowing
and of lullabies hushed
lest the heavens awake
from their sweet slumber
i try to extinguish the sun
that makes me thirst
to return to that kiss
intoxicating like the scent
of a summer's breath
