»A wish«

by Walter Mbiji

I have a wish
I wish for absolute silence
I wish for a place where I could define me
I wish to be just me

I have found that Existance is a constant struggle to impress
We daily contend to earn approval and acceptence
Fear of rejection is what drive us
We are slaves of this world's intellect
We live to be seen and admired by those elevated above us
We are always sqeezing to fit in

Question,
Should it really be like that?
Are we subjected to ideas and opinions of some clever beings?
Should we really act in harmony with visions and speeches of Society?
Smart or not, Should others define who we should be?
Existance,could anyone define it?

A wish is what I have
I wish for absolute silence
I wish for a place where I could define me
I wish to be just me.
