»A Harsh Word«
A harsh word that's spoken out so freely
can almost break someone's heart.
While you think you are so brave
and think that you are so smart.
Not even giving a thought
that someone may never get free
of that pain that your harsh word has left
on a heart so kind and gently.
It is not easy to set the wrong right.
Yes, a spoken word you can never draw back.
So make sure the words you utter
Don't leave a sore or a crack.
can almost break someone's heart.
While you think you are so brave
and think that you are so smart.
Not even giving a thought
that someone may never get free
of that pain that your harsh word has left
on a heart so kind and gently.
It is not easy to set the wrong right.
Yes, a spoken word you can never draw back.
So make sure the words you utter
Don't leave a sore or a crack.
