»With Words«

by Amanda Mosidi

With words, I travel to faraway places,
go on adventures,
speak in foreign tongues, and
I enter stranger's houses and they welcome me like a long awaited visitor.

With words, I transform people's lives,
make dreams a reality,
paint pictures and
I open people's eyes to the beauty around them.

With words I heal open wounds,
feed the hungry child and soul,
provide shelter and a hiding place for weary limbs,
mend broken relationships,
push boundaries,
build bridges and communities and
become the nation's conscience.

With words I express love unconditionally,
for myself, children, family, friends, community and country,
love as if I've never been hurt before and
I speak of choice.

Yes with words, I document history for future generations,
tell the truth about who I am and where I come from,
my true story devoid of lies and pretence,
Yes with words I jump for joy, expressing my undying gratitude to God's amazing grace and
transmit messages from the afterlife where parallel worlds meet.
