»Where Did You Go?«

by James Inocencio

Heavy like lead is my heart sunken in goodbyes

I will leave in yesteryear and I shall leave you in disguise

Those euphoric memories shared,
remembered, you shamed me through bitter tears that won't blend, and broken hands left to mend.

Fret not, my return will be swift like death I wait upon no man, or woman, or soul.

Soon the clock will strike, believe me
and your end, your end will come as easy

He was the friend you never had, the lover I never loved, and the life you never lived.

Your fate will be concealed in this envelope sealed by the lips of angles delivered from haven.

For now this will be goodbye for both of us, to soon?
We will never know.
