»The mind, a palette«

by Mashell Chapeyama

Yesterday's unclean palette
Is an unfading rainbow-
Bluish, yellowish, greenish
Emerging into a hotchpotch-
So is the mind, at times and most always;
As it wakes up one day
Anger occupies its part,
Sorrow claims its portion
Much as happiness, greed, hatred:-
A habitat of multiple feelings
Disgorging like the Victoria falls-
More stressing than easing the brain.
