»Where is fairness«

by Mashell Chapeyama

Where is fairness?
The sun far away in the blue sky
Seas and oceans roar, in uprising
Waves eddying, disrupting agricultural activities
Of peasant farmers,
Earthquakes destroy storey buildings
Of a developing, nation into total demolition;
The nights are silent but haunting,
While a new married couple's only child-
A weakling dies before birth
And where is the fairness?
