»I And Aunt Polly«

by Uddalak Banerjee

One day said aunt polly,
"Why you boys are so silly?"
I said "how so, aunt Polly?"
She said, "you are naughty not holy"

Bemused sat I in disgust,
until she came with a lovely flush.
She said, "I was joking my son totally!"

She was old but I so young,
but she me never do a wrong,
all her speeches were forever long,
she made me sleep with a song.

I still remember her songs,
they had melody that I always long,
"I love you aunt polly,
for you were never wrong"
