»A True Friend«

by Vusi Chris Venus Malala, March 26, 2008

He is the one who betrayed me,
lied about me,
Laughed at me when I was down.
All he did best was gossip 'bout me.

I saw it coming that he was pretending.
He ne'er returned any favor,
One of which is minding his business
What is a true friend?

He is a physical fighter
I am a writer,
I fight with words
not even a match

What is a man who spread rumours?
I ne'er want to see him again.
Why would he be outraged if he knew nothing?
To me it o'er

Wishing him well in his life

"Wow, it feels like you wrote this for me...Good friends are so hard to come across and once one feels the sting of betrayal from a friend it is difficult to trust again"

"I agree with Bill, He was no true friend to you and silent was the silent was the best weapon not fighting, Keep the Poetry moving boy you the best. I like that. Dn't forget that you represent me!!!!hahhahaha"

"He has a lot of nerve to say he was your friend. When you were down he just stood there grinning. You were the true friend to accept this punisment. With all the hurt you sustained, your silence meant that you were the one who was winning"
Bill Cohen, May 8, 2008
