»One Less Valentine«

by Ryan Gordon Penn, May 4, 2009

Every year it comes around, all happy and pink and red
So I decided to re-assess it, get it right in my head
Because it's not one more Valentines Day feeling sad and lonely
It's one less, till we're together in love and happiness

So this time instead of being bored and depressed
I will take myself out and it's me I will impress
Because how can I expect to sweep you off your feet
If I'm not in love with myself, then I'm incomplete

So it's one more moment of self love, intimacy
and one less Valentine till it's us, you and me
I sometimes dream of what you're like, Who you Are
I've sometimes wished you closer on a falling star
But I know that all beautiful things, do take time
I'm destined to wait to find the hand that perfectly fits mine

So one less Valentine without you, will it be the last?
Till I meet the one who's walked with me in lives long past
My soulmate, my true love, the 'Her' in my heart
My eternal Valentine, my venus right from the start

So while the world celebrates one more Valentines Day, happy or lonely
I will celebrate one less Valentine, Till I'm with you my one and only...

»The Ghost of Henley«

Theres an apparition of a man standing outside that house in Henley drive / He stares at you as you go by as if your dead and he's alive / / He is waiting and has been waiting for 101 years patiently / For his love to return from the Shirtwaist Triangle factory / / She was slight of build but big on  sign in to read more »

Allow me into your heart / I want to get to know you better / Why not? Just try me / I promise to do no harm / / But I will wash out the walls of your heart / With fruity smelling liquidy red tingly trickly love / Till the heart beats brand new / then you will give me your soft warm hands and I will  sign in to read more »
