»If Only You Would«

by Lungile KaDlamini, October 14, 2015

Deep in my soul is a pain,
Only I know,
A two edged sword, divides my inner being into two.
The gods must have forgotten,
The love they placed deep inside of me,
It burns within my soul,
Flames turn to ashes,
As I watch in bitter silence.
If only you would open your eyes,
See what this does to me,
Slowly, slowly, slowly I withdraw.
My love is an unwelcome inconvenience,
My desire and hunger for you annoys,
You scream, shout and cry; because I yearn for you.
If only you knew,
The happiness I wish for you,
Even though as it appears,
That happiness is not with me.

»It is in your words...«

One word, and I melt, / I've heard the same words, with hurt, / Few letters thrown together and my day is brighter, / You say it so well, my soul knows nothing better, / I smile because my inner being hears it better, / I smile because your words plant a seed of joy and peace; independent of external  sign in to read more »
