»I don’t want your love«

by Lada Veselyna, March 19, 2018

I don’t want your love
If it’s so unconditionally cruel
That enslaves my spirit in the cage
Of your tender and affectionate control

I don’t want your love
If it’s that unfair and immoral
That you trade your freedom for the trash
Of eternal and suppressive patronage

I won’t take your love
Till we both know we can’t help it
And cannot survive without each other
And can neither laugh, nor breathe, nor live
