»Getting Old Yet Remain Young at Heart«

by Sava Hassan, May 4, 2018

Looking at my face in the mirror
Fills my heart with horror
A face that is old
Through it, a story of agony is told
Yet my eyes show wisdom that is gold

A heart is pure and young
A well power that is strong
A desire for happiness that is profound
A mind that is always sound

Getting old is a fact to embrace
I must accept it with grace
Nothing on that face I can change
Even attempting to do that would be strange
