»Same Old Wine«

by Viv Vamblie, June 15, 2018

They gave us the elections
Kept filling our heads full of lies
Can we trust in new directions
While the promises are in disguise
Well someday the truth will catch us

Then they preach this thing religion
But show no faith at all
Follow suit on Sunday
But on Monday forget it all
And when the time should find us needing you
Then my friend have mercy on us all

It’s just the same old wine in a brand-new bottle
Leading us down the road to our downfall
With no thought at all
Of conviction conversation and concern
For the masses who need it all
It’s just the same old wine in a brand-new bottle
