We are all propelled by an ambition,
To ultimately reach fruition.
Be it some goal we want to reach,
Some item we wish to possess,
Some title we want to be known by;
It is desire that provides us with an objective,
Giving us wings to reach the same,
And it is only desire that pushes us into flame.
We live for it, we win for it, we lose for it, we die for it;
Those who set their aspirations have a goal,
Those who don’t, spend their lives in a bottomless hole.
We kill, we work, we rob, we die; all for our cravings.
Ambition is truly intriguing
After all, it is the very cement holding humans to their brink
One must only be wary not to sink.
