My Pearl
The voice of her laughter
sings a melody in my heart
a mind restless
In pursuit wanting to dive deep beneath the ocean bed searching for my pearl
oh mother of mine, where are you
somewhere in the valley beyond my treasure beyond measure awaits for me
When will my thirst be quenched,
when will my hand meet her
a kiss on her cheek is a remembrance of an unborn baby that's tossing and turning in her mother's womb
waiting to be welcomed in this world
my love for you will be like the rose that never closes
And maybe mum if you happen to take a stroll down heaven's pathway
The roses on the pathway as they toll and spin in the field of life is my joy of seeing your precious footprints that when I lost you, you where right there
This is my farewell to you, may you rest in peace
(This is a poem to my beloved mum who passed away with cancer. I was unable to see her and I had to bid my farewell to her over the telephone while she lay in her casket, the question mark is how do I explain loss and separation that no words can do justice to their loss. I will always live with a memory that burns in my heart a meeting to see her was never possible. I love her and this poem is dedicated to my beloved treasure, My Mum Savithree.)
